                      Jan 1959 Born in Guilin, Ethnic, Hui

                      1966       Began to receive schooling at First Primary School, Zhongshanbei Road, Guilin

                      1971       Admitted into Middle School affiliated to Guangxi Teachers College, Guilin,

                                     now named Guangzi Teachers University (GTU)

                      1976       Went to countryside to do farm work as a fresh graduate from senior middle school

                      1978       Admitted into Guangxi Academy of Fine Arts through national college entrance

                                     examination, majoring in Traditional Chinese Painting.

                      1982       Graduated after completing 4-year college program and obtained B.A. Degree from

                                     Guangxi Academy of Fine Arts.

                      1984       Re-entered Guangxi Academy of Fine Arts as a postgraduate through entrance                           

                                     examination, majoring in Traditional Chinese Painting under the Tutorship of Professor                   

                                     Huang Dufeng, a renowned Painter.

                      1986       Began to work as a teacher with the Departement of Fine Arts Guangxi Teachers                

                                     University (GTU) after completing the postgraduate program.

                      1987       Be employed by Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence Academy,appointed     

                                     to Chairman of the Department of Tradiyional Chinese painting of the Academy’s Guilin

                                     Branch;be employed as a council member of Art Association;the piece of work in

                                     traditional Chinese painting style,entitled“Clear –up sky of Guilin in autumn”was

                                     selected on the 12 th Round Sino-Japan Art Exchangs Show in Kawasaki,Japan

                      1988       Be admitted into Chinese Artists Association as a menmber of its Guangxi Branch;be

                                     employed by Guilin Academy of Fine Arts as a specially-invited master;the piece of

                                     work in traditional Chinese painting style,entiled”The Far-Reaching Aesthetic Effect of

                                     a Deep Valley”was selected on Guangxi Artistic Works Show and rewarded with the

                                     “Best Creative ork”prize;holding first oneman show in Guilin

                      1989       Be appointed assistant of chairman of the Department of Fine Arts,GTU;be appointed

                                     head teaching and research group for traditional Chinese painting;the piese of work in

                                     traditional Chinese painting style,entiiled”Mountains Inhabited by Miao People in the

                                     Height of Spring”,was selected on the Modern Chinese Landscape Fine-Brushwork

                                     show;the piece of work in traditional Chinese Painting style,entitled”Night Chat in

                                     Mountain Village of Yao”was selected on the 7 th Round National Artistic Works Show

                                     and rewarded with “Excellent Work”prize by the Culture Department of Guangxi and

                                     Artists Association,Cuangxi Branch;several pieces of works in traditional Chinese

                                     paintings style were selected on the Artstic Works Show in Kyoto,Japan,co-sponsored

                                     by Kyoto of Fine Arts and Guangxi Calligraghy and painting Academy;at the request of

                                     Tien An Men Ad-ministration,a big-sized piece of work in Chinese Landscape painting

                                     style entitled”The Surging Clouds amidst the Mountains In-habited by Yao People”was

                                     complerted inBeijing and housed by the Administration

                     1990        There picese of work in traditional Chinese painting style were selected on the

                                     Invetational Modern Chinese painters’ Works Show held in London;”The Surging

                                     Clouds amidst the Mountains Inhabited by Yao People”was carried in the

                                     beautifully-designed big album”A Colligraghy and paintings Treasured by Tien An-

                                     Men Administration”;Bai Xiao Jun’s WorkShow was held in Xinzhu,Taiwan;”Bai Xiao

                                     Jun’s ----an album was published by Taiwan Artists Press

                     1991        Be employed by Sino-Thai Society of Artsts,Thailand,as an overseas advisor;be

                                     employed by Guangxi Calligraphy and Painting Academy as an academician;Bai Xiao

                                     Jun’s Traditional Chinese Painting Show was held in Sweden;Bai Xiao Jun’s One-man

                                     Show washeld in Taipei;the piece of work in traditonal Chinese painting

                                     style,entiled”Morning Breeze and Mist-Shrouded Willows”was an exhibit on the First

                                     Round Invitational Modern Chinese Landscape Paintings Show

                    1992         Be employed by Guangxi Calligraphy and Painting Academy for Multi-Nationalities as

                                     a senior master;the piece of work in tradi-tional Chinese Painting style,entiled “The

                                     Noble and Unsullied”was an exhibit on the 7 th Round Invitational National

                                     Flower-and-Bird Painting Show;the piece of work in traditional painting

                                     style-entitled”Poetic Effect of a Still,Clod Moon”was an exhibit on Art Show of work by

                                     Artists on Both sides of the Taiwan Strait;the piece of work in traditional Chinese

                                     Painting style,entitled”Xishan(strean-Hill)Shrouded in Snowfall”was carried in the

                                     Album”Guilin at Painting Brush of 100 Noted Con-tempoary Chinese Painters”and

                                     housed by Guilin Museum
